Weekly Tip by: RL
Real may be making a mockery of the World credit crash by undertaking the second incarnation of Perez's Galáctico regime, but just because you've bought the finest prawns, squid, chicken...that
does not guarantee you will have great paella!
Yes Real have signed some real superstars but that doesn't mean their defensive frailties are going to be improved upon, or that these talented individuals are going to gel into an all conquering team.
Let's not forget this is a treble winning Barca side they're up against, the first Spanish team ever to win the treble and they done it with a style, goal tally and verve rarely equalled in the HISTORY of football. Barca are more than just talented individuals, they are a team in every sense of the word, they have a cluster of Barca based youth players, who know, love and share the club's historic footballing philosophies and ideologies, they attack and defend as one, and are going to keep with the foundation of last season's treble winners..
Whereas Real are ripping apart the recipe book and starting afresh in many ways and things often get worse before they get better within this scenario, you just cannot predict how they are going to perform next season, or even the first 11 who will be performing for them next season.
Their new signings are obviously world class players, but we saw with Perez's previous time in charge the underlining fact football is a team game, you can't just put a few select superstars together and expect to win everything in sight. Football is a little more complicated than that, and thank f@ck it is. Real's attacking talent are tastier than a naked Angelina Jolie smothered in chocolate, but as with previous years the defence ls very suspect.
Many fans and pundit's heads are being turned, attracted like a moth to the flashing lights and razz ma tazz resurrection of the Galáctico Real Madrid, but come on they're not the Real deal, Barca are!
They are my bet for the Spanish Primera Liga title next season, no doubt about it!
